How a plumber in Bridgend prices your job
Updated 1 October 2026 · 2 minute read
Ask ten plumbers in Bridgend for a price list and most will dodge the question. That is not because they are hiding something. It is because “fix a leak” can mean ten minutes with a spanner or a morning lifting floorboards, and nobody can tell which from the words alone.
So we do not publish plumbing prices. What we do instead is price your job, and give you that price before we start.
What we need to price it
The more we can see, the faster and more accurate the price. The useful things are:
- A photo or two. The tap, the cistern, the stain on the ceiling, the pipe under the sink. Wide enough to see what is around it.
- Your postcode. So we know which part of Bridgend county you are in.
- What has happened. “Dripping for months”, “started last night”, “only when the heating is on”. The timeline tells us a lot.
- Anything already tried. If someone has had a go, say so. It changes what we bring.
Send it on WhatsApp to 07712 646488, or use the form. For most small jobs, that is enough for a firm price.
When we need to look first
Some jobs cannot be priced honestly from a photo. A leak you can hear but not see, a bathroom refit, or anything where the pipework disappears into a wall. In those cases we will tell you why we need to see it, then price it once we have.
Fixed means fixed
The price you agree is the price you pay. If we open something up and find a problem that was not visible and changes the job, we stop and talk to you before doing anything extra. Nothing gets added on the day without you saying yes.
What comes with every job
- Gas Safe registered, City & Guilds qualified engineers
- £2m public liability insurance
- A 1 year warranty on our work as standard
Small jobs are welcome. The same engineers do the single tap and the full bathroom. If you have a list of little things, send the whole list in one go and we will price them together.
